there are so many different books out there for D20. I'm just curious what people's favorites are.
among mine would be:
Unearthed Arcana: I use some of the alternate rules out of this book quite extensively
Pathfinder Core Book: A lot of the changes I made for my own games are pretty similar to what appeared here. They didn't fix everything I had houseruled, but there was still a ton of great new material.
Wheel of Time D20: Old book, but I love some of the spells. Most of the rest is pretty generic, but there are a few useful feats and skills as well.

All d20 or just D&D and it's knock-offs?
Becuase the monster book for the d20 version of Engel ranks as perhaps my favorite monster book of all time. Not so much stats, but tons of flavor and stories.
Pathfinder core is another one. We're starting up a new game soon, and unlike previous editions, I look at all classes in the core book and think "I want to play this". That's pretty well done.
Dragonstar. SF/F setting. D&D in space with lasers. Love the setting, love the gear.
I feel happy...I feel happy!

I've never played Engel. I have pathfinder though and I have seen Dragonstar.
