Sorry I somehow missed a word. What I meant was that you can get other games with online capabilities for free and still have just as much fun.

Except those 'other games' are not WoW, which is what some people want to play.
Out, out, brief candle!

Baldurs Gate doesn't take too long to complete even with the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion. But I guess it depends how good you are and if you intend on visiting every area on the game. You can still complete it even if you miss out huge chunks.
If you complete every area you can find some really cool stuff, more NPCs and of course get more EXP for if you plan on transfering your character to BGII (which I also recommend doing).
Baldurs Gate II is bigger and even better. It takes longer to complete (I havn't yet) and also has an expansion (Throne of Bhaal).
Which character class are you? (BGII is different depending on this) Ive played as both a ranger and a thief.
I know you said you wouldn't tolerate excuses... but I have a really good one!

Dragonstar
Star Wars
Vampire: the Masquerade
Ars Magica
Oriental Adventures
Kult
(yes, I would recommend all of them, if you have good players and a good GM)
On my computer I am vaguely playing AvP 2 (good), Icewind Dale 2 (ok) and X-COM: Terror from the Deep (stick to the first game).
And Minesweeper and Solitaire
I feel happy...I feel happy!

I agree with your X-COM analysis, the first one was better. Terror from the Deep is just too repetative, and the boat missions last forever (I hate it when you get stuck trying to find the last sodding alien). Also no matter what I tried with Terror from the Deep I couldn't build any new crafts/submersibles (have you managed to?) therefore couldn't really get into the game. (I completed X-COM Enemy Unknown by the way so can't understand what I was doing wrong?)

Well, my friend left his Gamecube in my flat. So I got to play a bit of Resident Evil 4. Awesome game, the controls are so much better now.

I have BGII and the expansion, only played BGII about five hours though.
I was a wizard, but I believe I will start over with a more combat-oriented character when I pick it back up.

Then you have many hours of great gaming ahead of you!
Yeah, its hard being a wizard, always running out of spells. I recommend being a thief but can't say why without ruining a big part of the game's storyline if you never got that far. But it's really down to personal preferance in the end I suppose. Have fun.

Great, that was what I was planning on playing once I restart.
I just picked up Jade Empire the other day and it is fantastic. Not as much character customization as I was hoping, but it has so many fighting styles I hardly notice. Not to mention the story is intriguing.

Ahh, love RE 4, the game that really got me into the series. One of the best Gamecube titles in a while.
I'm playing Baten Kaitos for the 'Cube now. Its an 'card based battle system' RPG by Namco, I do say its f-ing great. I recommend to all Final Fantasy fans. It has great pre-rendered backgrounds, and the character models are just fantastic, so far the story really picking up.
I'm playing Jade Empire for Xbox which is also sweet as well, plays just like Knights of the Old Republic in a lot of ways.
I just recevied Growlanser Generations (Deluxe Edition) for PS2 today in the mail, I am so exitced!!! Never played Growlanser before, but it looks nice. A game by Working Designs, the deluxe edition is a must have for any collector or seller.
Answer me anything and I'll question you truthfully.
