I don't like the fact that they are changing the story, but I love TMNT. One of my fondest memories growing up was waking up on Saturday mornings to hear that amazing theme song. Can still sing it by memory..what? 18+ years later. While I'm sure it won't be the greatest movie ever and true to the original story, it will probably be a good slugfest between a bunch of cool looking creatures. After I calmed down and thought about it, I decided that I wasn't really as pissed as I thought I was. The only thing that irks me, really, is that they are making the turtles into aliens. Otherwise, it really doesn't bug me as much. We'll see how the trailer looks and then I'll decide if I'm spending $10 at the theatre or not.Slytherin Pride W.W.D.D. If it were done in a style like that, the movie would pretty much rock regardless of storyline. Am I a bad person doing good things...or a good person doing bad things... - Dexter |

Member Since: February 2003 RK: 9 MP: 2,976 | Tuesday May 8, 2012 6:54 AM I've seen these pictures. If they make a live-action, like Bay is planning, then I suppose this would be good for the movie. (CGI turtles.) Personally, while I'll admit the artwork is good, to me it's a bit... creepy.Slytherin Pride W.W.D.D. You are never too young to die nor too old to live. ~Me! I loved the cartoon and resulting live action movies, but they are way more kid-friendly than the original underground comics.Death before Dishonor -- Nothing before Coffee Nihil curo de ista tua stulta superstitione |

Member Since: February 2003 RK: 9 MP: 2,976 | Tuesday May 8, 2012 8:58 AM Oh, I know. I've seen a few of the comics. If Bay does go through with his movie and they make the turtles CGI, I, personally, hope they do go with that type of art. Doesn't change the creepy factor, though. At least, not in my opinion. At the same time, I was never the type to read or get into comics. (Though, I would like to read the turtle comics.) I grew up with the movies and cartoons. It's really all I know about the turtles. That said, I am trying to learn more about them and I would like to read the comics. (If I can get past the "comic" part of the comics. I prefer books with no pictures, personally.) Slytherin Pride W.W.D.D. You are never too young to die nor too old to live. ~Me! The major label were really TV show tie-ins, not continuations of the original. Just like the Tick...Death before Dishonor -- Nothing before Coffee Nihil curo de ista tua stulta superstitione |

Member Since: February 2003 RK: 9 MP: 2,976 | Tuesday May 8, 2012 11:29 PM I've gone to Hastings to look at the comics they have, but I think they only have newer stuff. I'm not sure, though. And, at the risk of pissing some corporate people off, I don't see anything wrong with downloading stuff so long as it isn't commercially available. Like lots of the older Hellblazer and Books of Magic stuff. I'd buy them in a heartbeat if they were to be found in the stores. I feel happy...I feel happy! "I contend that we are both atheists.
