QUOTED  Is that the one with Fairuza Balk and the creepy wheely men? *shudders*

That's the one. And Tik Tok!

"Let's wind up his thinking."
"... I wonder what he's thinkin' about."

I remember the Wheelers used to creep me out as a kid, though. And the whole climax with the Nome King and the nomes reaching out of the walls to grab at Dorothy and company. Still, wonderful stuff.

Hell yes. Myself and my sister used to have nightmares about them.
I especially remember that corridor with the spare heads...

Excellent though.

And Tik Tok! I loved him and his little moustache.

Am watching 'Rough Aunties', a documentary by Kim Longinotto about a group called Bobbi Bear working in Durban, in South Africa. It's a group of women, white and zulu, working to help abused and raped kids. It's brilliant and utterly, utterly heartbreaking. Have spent most of it crying. It's an unbearable thing, to watch children who have eyes permanently full of tears, but who are so quiet. These women are just... awe inspiring. Their strength, and the ferocity of their commitment to protecting these children is just staggering.

I thought Treebeard looked surprisingly like the Nome king.

anyway, have watched several more Colin Baker episodes, including The Two Doctors (more Troughton and Jamie. YAY!!!!)
And I have come to really like him. He's a bit more violent than he's been before. A bit more acerbic and put-downish, but quite good. Much better than Davison. I'm not sure if I think he's better than McCoy, but it's close enough that I have to think about it.
We'll see when I start on McCoy.

Best being a relative term, of course.

Wow, Wilt Chamberlain really is very tall when he's not on that horse.

I still find it hard to believe that he rode the horse, not just drag his feet on the ground.

QUOTED  Just watched my new copy of "Return to Oz". Big part of my childhood, that one, and really wish it was more well-known.

I love that movie. Especially the wheelers, see now I am going to have to go home and watch it, Darn!

just finished the multipart "Trial of a Time Lord". So long Colin Baker. I disliked him when I was younger, but now I wish he had been given more seasons and a grander send-off than his regeneration in "Time and the Rani".
Guess I will have to rustle up the Sixth Doctor novels.
Only problem is, I can never really tell which Doctor is which just by reading the books.

Lately been watching a lot of Whitest Kids U Know, after having it recommended numerous times and ignoring everyone. Now I'm bloody hooked. Reminds me of some of the glory days of Kids in the Hall.

Sex robot!

Have finished DW. Now to go back and watch the episodes I skipped the first time around because I had seen them in the last 10 years. that should keep me occupied a while longer.
Have also seen "The Fifth Element" again. Lovely film. Chris Tucker must have had a blast playing Ruby Rhod.
