Still powering through The Vampire Diaries books, currently on Book 4, "Dark Reunion". I'm killing a book about a week lately. Once I'm done with this series, I have a backlog of about 20 other books on my Kobo, as well as a backlog of about 15 other different audio books.

Doesn't sound too bad considering my backlog of 80+ print books. I really should get away from the screens. :s

Finished "The wind from nowhere" by J.G Ballard.
Basically, a gigantic, world-wide wind startsand tears everything apart (moving in excess of 500 mph towards the end). A good enough start, but the mysterious man we see in glimpses throughout the book is pathetic and the books ends with the wind dropping as inexplicably as it started, without a single word about why, how or what the human race is up to afterwards.

My book backlog is horrid. I guess I can buy them faster than I can read them. Which might be a good thing in a way.

"Before I Fall" by Lauren Oliver. Like, as I write this, since it's an audiobook. -grins-

"Justice", a three-part story by the same team that did DC's "Kingdom come". Not as good, sadly, but still an unadulterated pleasure to the eye. And not a bad story as such. Yet another 'group of supervillains band together to take down the heroes'.

"The clockwork pirates" by Ron Goulart. Some of the stuff I found in Oxford in November.
So far a pulp-ish, Jack Vance-y story. Jack Vance is good, and so far an interesting enough knock-off.
