Fortune smiles greatly upon you, Khir! I want to see a picture on here the VERY next day of you running your fingers through his scraggly yet imaginative beard!
Put them in detention or something! This is THE G.R.R.M!
Is it as controversial as his other book? You know, the Jesus one.

You mean, the book that should have been titled...
***SPOILER***
"The Holy Grail was a Vagina"?

I'm super glad I finished my coco pops before reading this. It would've been a bitch getting the milk I would've snorted out my nose off my monitor.

, oh you!
In a similar vain, I'm reading Angles and Demons by Dan Brown. Since I am not the Catholic Church, I am enjoying it. Definitely not as controversial as the above mentioned, but quite suspenseful.

I enjoyed Angels and Demons almost more than the Da Vinci Code (might have been something to do with the fact that it didn't have a ridiculous amount of hype to live up to!) I also really enjoyed Digital Fortress.
Currently reading Open Secret by Stella Rimington, first female head of MI5. It's her auto-biography, very interesting. I have read all her fiction, also excellent.

Just got done with it, and I am in agreement. While I found the end a little...not as good - I still think I enjoyed it more than the DaVinci Code.
I also really enjoyed Digital Fortress.
Starting this one next, found it for .50 at the local library. Glad it's got a thumbs up from you.

Dan Brown. *shudder*
Just finished Piratica II by Tanith Lee. Not as good as the first, but a decent enough pass-time.
"Ubik" by Philip K. Dick. Quite good, but not his best.
Have started once again on Lee's "Anackire", and getting more into it this time around.

I am currently reading "Blue Shoes and Happiness" by Alexander Mccall Smith which is book 7 in the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency - such a cute series... HOWEVER, I picked up "The Gathering Storm" today and I can't wait to get into that book!!! I felt like a little kid in the candy store walking out with a book I've been dying to read! I feared I was going to have to read the series a few more times before this book came out - but I heard the second (or is that thirteenth) book will be out around the end of the year!! ~dances~

Buttercup: But how can you be sure?
Westley: This is true love - you think this happens every day?

Every time I read anything by McCall Smith I want to move to Botswana. I'm sure it can't be as lovely as he makes it seem, it's third world, isn't it??

His stories and style of writing are so awesome. He does paint this lovey picture of a 'perfect world'... Have you watched the television series yet? I was afraid to at first, mainly because I already had the characters looking a certain way in my mind, but I think it was cast rather well!!
