It's about time, too - not that A Feast for Crows wasn't good, but it was missing most of my favorite viewpoints. I wonder if they're going to finish some of the plotlines that were left hanging in Feast? (Brienne, especially) Can't wait.  Everywhere I go I repeat: I do not belong here. A Game of thrones is essentially the single entry point into the Song of Ice and Fire universe, which is almost all he's written about, and by very far his best work. Before that Martin wrote for TV, I think a few Twilight Zone scripts are his among other assorted stuff. Be careful to read them chronologically though, the first book will blow your mind; the second book (A Clash of Kings) is a gradual rise in excitement to the third book (A Storm of Swords - this series comprises some of history's greatest variety in volume titles), which is basically a literary orgasm almost the size and exceeding the scope of Les Miserables. If you skip the second one, your mind will be unprepared for the third. This will probably cause adverse effects in your brain like strain, memory loss, stroke or outright explosion. And that's why we rave about it. But to the matter at hand: OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I was getting so sick of him apologising every month too, haha. hi iam new lol |

However, read somewhere that Dance with Dragons will cover the same time period as "Feast" just from the more "popular" characters POVs. Which, I am VERY excited to see how that will turn out - especially after the ending of Storm of Swords. Still would like to know what happened to Brienne though. **SPOILERS***(If haven't read Feast) Also, wondering what is going to become of the Cleganes. Something tells me they are BOTH still hanging around despite some vague areas of dialogue saying otherwise. Am I a bad person doing good things...or a good person doing bad things... - Dexter |

More than a little bit of gloating to see Davos and Theon listed - I -knew- they weren't dead, despite all the reports to the contrary. Disappointed that the new POV isn't going to be the Hound after all, as I doubt he (or his brother) is dead either, but Loras Tyrell or Melisandre could have potential. I'd imagine it'll be Loras, since a big part of Melisandre's character is that no one knows what the hell's going on in her head and Flowerboy's been slowly becoming a more major character in the last few books. Really hope that he has enough room at the end of the book to tie up Brienne's cliffhanger ending from Feast - just the thought of waiting for another book to find out is painful. Otherwise I'd do like I did with Wheel of Time before I dumped it - read the entire frickin' series again just so I wouldn't miss any plot threads when the new book came out.But I am waiting for it and hope it will be done before Martin dies.
