| Tuesday June 19, 2012 4:21 AM Hey guys! Nice to see you too, Shadow.
I've been kinda busy, is all. But that's no excuse. The jiggilo business was kind of slow, so I switched to construction (with jiggiloing on the side). I do Spray Foam Insulation. The money is good (although I do believe plumbers make a bit more than me - they're at like 30-35 dollars an hour around here).American by birth. Anti-Christ by choice.

| Wednesday June 20, 2012 1:11 AM Annoyance is customers who go into a fucking mall on a holiday weekend, and have the gall to act surprised when there are lines.

| Friday March 22, 2013 4:22 AM Annoyance is my laptop's GPU imploding. Again. Happened two years ago, but the whole thing was still under warranty. This time I'm not so lucky. Gonna cost me between 300 and 500 dollars to get it repaired, and the things are back-ordered since they are a very uncommon part. Leave it to me to get lucky and find a gaming laptop that was built with the power and upgradability of a desktop, only to have the GPU be custom built for that single series.
Frankly, its been a rough year so far for computers in Alsea in general. Our nearly 9 year old desktop shorted its power supply in February, three friends have all lost computers since the new year, and yesterday the main computer at the Library blew it's hard-drive.

| Saturday March 23, 2013 1:58 AM Minor annoyance is a tickling in my right ear. I can't help but think of the story I read about the woman in China who had a really anoying itch in her ear, went to the doctor and they found a little spider in there.
And I get to thinking that this can't be a terribly uncommon occurence, considering how many spiders crawl around our beds when we're asleep.
*the not-quite arachnophobe goes off to look at porn in an attempt to purge these thoughts from his mind*I feel happy...I feel happy!

| Thursday April 25, 2013 9:33 PM Annoyance is the new catalog system the county library system just switched to. In order for my mini-rant to make sense, I'll have to explain the way the county library system works, so bear with me.
The quick version is that 4 of the public libraries in Benton county are branches of the main library in Corvallis. If I want an item from the library, but it isn't here in Alsea, then I can place a hold on it and the book/game/movie etc. will be shipped here when my turn comes along. Sometimes this can take months due to demand (like the last few Harry Potter novels) but usually takes only a few days since the cargo van that delivers materials comes through 3 days a week. This system has been in place for more than a couple decades, though it has gone through several upgrades what with the advances in computer and internet technology.
Now for the mini-rant
2 weeks ago, the company that supplied the computer program that the library system used to track everything across the county stopped supporting the program that had been used for the last 5+ years. No biggie, the tech guys had been working on implementing the new program in anticipation of this. Aside from a few inevitable bugs, the switch was quick and painless. At first. As time goes on, more and more materials are becoming lost between the time they are taken off the shelf in one location and delivered to the receiving location.
