Despair is my position at work being eliminated so I have to be transferred and retrained or accept a layoff. Fanfuckintastic.

I'm sorry Ava! That sucks!

Despair is my boyfriend having to shave his fledgling muttonchops since he works at a hospital and facial hair is a no-no.
I weep for the potential steampunky goodness that could have been.

Despair is the lack of Lich in our life the past few months. Don't understand what has happened. Guess a move does sound better and better.

Ouch.
Not to pry, but is this a "we're really busy and don't have time" lack, or a "personal drama" lack?

Trying to find a job again.
I quit T-mobile back in December, because I refused to force a 10 min conversation into 5 mins, and because I was going to do my job (fix the problem and/or explain why it happened and how to keep it from happening.) Well, my timing was piss poor as I quit on Friday, and then Monday Corporate came in and fired a goodly number of people for internal fraud (they were ripping off the tuition reimbursment).
So, in the already crap job market, I have a worthless degree (teaching music in an area with no money for math textbooks just isn't going to happen) and I left a job at the "same time" as a well-reported (at least locally) massive fraud. Guess what I keep getting for responses at interviews?

Come to Iowa. We're one of the few states whose job market doesn't resemble a litterbox.
Despair is... my job. I keep reminding myself it's wonderful to have a job at all these days, and I do it well enough to make more than most of the people in the same position, but being good at customer service when you loathe people is not a pleasant experience. Period.
Everywhere I go I repeat: I do not belong here.
