I've been helping out with my uncle's sheep twice a year for 20 years or more. Family is cheaper than other people.
I feel happy...I feel happy!

Despair is discovering I'm probably going to need to get a new job in a couple weeks.
This is largely because of a lack of proper training and nobody fucking bothering to tell me I'm doing something wrong til I've done it enough times for it to be an issue. I was TOLD I'd be given a full month of training, and got two weeks before getting pitched in the deep end. Then, when I do something wrong, the managers seem to assume it's willful maliciousness on my part and not simply not bloody knowing - I've gotten in trouble for doing some things wrong that even the floor managers didn't know were wrong! I'm just getting to be the whipping boy because I'm new. Fucking fantastic.
Doesn't help that I seem to have gotten on the bad side of one of the managers who's a notorious bitch. I'm considering asking if she knows that everyone in the store hates her, if I get the boot. And then asking how she feels about working for a corporation that consistently ranks at the top of lists of supporters of underpaid sweatshop labor, while running PR campaigns about how important "giving back" and "ethics" are to them.
Drinking will most definitely be occurring tonight.

We have the same problem at my workplace. Fortunately, no one has been fired for not knowing their job yet, but I do wonder at the mentality of these people.
Isn't it a lot easier to say "hey, you're doing it wrong. Do it like this" rather than not give a fuck until the situation is unbearable, fire someone, then hire a new person and spend time training them?

... the heat.
It's so hot, I could fry an egg on my nutsack!

... suddenly my scrambled egg surprise doesn't taste quite right.
That's what I'd think. But on a less despairing note, I managed to get a new job already, so fuck 'em.
Despair of the moment is that I now have to go through all the silly training videos again. Argh.

Certainly more tolerable, since I have to deal with people less.
Well, until I foolishly agreed to come in at 3 in the morning, and the bastards scheduled me to work til close yesterday. Uncalled for, jerks.

Despair is finding out that the friends we live with are moving out of state, and so my husband and I don't have long to find our own place. We don't make much money, so there's no guarantee we can even make it on our own. I'm so sick of moving!
