You never know when they'll crack. Eventually, they're gonna start gnawing on the nearest thing they can, whether it's a hood ornament or wristwatch, wrist still attached; a moment when that uniform they've made for themselves breaks down and they fall to pieces, right out of it. After which you are brutally cursed with the knowledge that all of your agony is going to last for a total of the most excruciating 21 seconds of the rest of your life, each and every one lasting an eternity unto itself all the while knowing that after 18 seconds, you now have 17 left to live, the cure for everything that has just happened to you is going to be developed. Like I have time to date copies during class. They're always checked but I'm expected to have them signed, dated and with personalised comments.
