To make matters worse the wind has managed to loosen my roof tiles which my TV aerial is bolted to and it appears only a matter of time before it starts raining indoors. Not having a big enough ladder or means to get up there myself I may be forced to call out the specialists which is rather inconvenient as I'm working nights now and would prefer to be sleeping. Got a call this morning from the car insurance company to see if I was 'going ahead with the cheaper quote' they gave me last week (50 euro off). I thought at the time it was a discount, but as it would make no sense for me not to go ahead with the cheaper policy if it was a discount I thought it must have been an alternate to the policy, losing some cover, so phoned back to double check. 'So what cover am I not getting?' 'None. That was a discount she offered to you'. 'So... you're phoning to check whether I want to pay an extra 50 euro when I don't need to?' Grah.
