Ah... but that's why you find that book for $10. I'm a collector of soundtracks, and they can get pretty damned pricey. My rule of thumb: Check out the really rare CDs, see if I'd like them. Then find that CD for insanely cheap. That's where the 'excitement' for me comes from. I got a good condition soundtrack for $5 when everywhere else it eas $30-$60. I love that album too.

I understand though that trying to get a rare book you want to read can really be aggravating. But I enjoy the hunt.

Indeed. We just disagree on the nuances of finding those books. You enjoy it, I think it's a pain in the ass to hunt down a book when all I want to do is read it.
